Job Interview Questions and How to Answer them

1. “Tell me about yourself.” This question means “give me a broad overview of who you are, professionally speaking, before we dive into specifics.” You should prepare about a one-minute answer that summarizes where you’re at in your career and what you’re especially good at, with an emphasis on your most recent job. Keep your personal life out of it; your interviewer isn’t asking to hear about your family, hobbies or where you grew up.
2. “What interests you about this job?” Your answer here should focus on what about the substance of the role most interests you. You should not talk about benefits, salary, the short commute or anything else unrelated to the day-to-day work you’d be doing, or you’ll signal that you’re not particularly enthusiastic about the work itself. Interviewers want to hire people who have carefully considered whether this is a job they’d be glad to work at every day, and that means focusing on the work itself, not what the job can do for you.
3. “Why are you thinking about leaving your job?” Or, if you’re unemployed, “Why did you leave your last job?” This isn’t the time to talk about conflicts with your manager or complaints about your co-workers. Job seekers are commonly advised to answer this by saying that they’re seeking new challenges, but that answer only rings true if you’re specific about what those new challenges are and how this job will provide them in a way your last job didn’t. It’s also fine to cite things like a recent or planned move, financial instability at your organization or other reasons that are genuinely true – just stay away from badmouthing employers or complaining about work.
4. “Why would you excel at this job?” This is your chance to make a case for why you'd shine in the job – and if you don't know the answer to that, it's unlikely that your interviewer will figure it out either. Since this gets to the crux of the whole interview, you should have a strong answer prepared for this ahead of time. A strong answer will point to your skills and track record of experience and tie them to the needs of the job.
5. “Tell me about a time when …” Good interviewers will probe into times in your past when you had to exercise the skills required for the job. For instance: Tell me about when you had to take initiative / had to deal with a difficult customer / had to solve a problem for a client … and so forth. Make sure to prepare in advance for these questions, so that you’re not struggling to come up with real-life past examples. Spend some time brainstorming about what skills you’re likely to need in the job and what challenges you’re likely to face. Then think about what examples from your past work you can use as “evidence” that you can meet those needs. When you construct your answer, discuss the challenge you faced, how you responded and the outcome you achieved.
6. “What would you do in your first 90 days if you got this position?” Interviewers are looking for answers that reveal how you set goals and problem-solve, and whether you’re ambitious without being unrealistic. You should also acknowledge that you’ll need to take time to get to know the team, what’s working and what can be improved before you make any big decisions – but your answer should still get into specifics to the extent you reasonably can.
7. “What salary range are you looking for?” Job seekers are almost always asked this question, yet too often fail to prepare for it and then are caught off-guard when the topic comes up. If you wing your answer to this, you risk lowballing yourself and ending up with a salary offer below what you might have otherwise received. It’s crucial to research the market rate for the job ahead of time. Don’t let discomfort with talking about money thwart your ability to negotiate well for yourself.

What are the Benefits of Meditation?
I’ve been meditating once a day for the past year because I love it. It may seem strange, but I feel happiest when sitting in perfect silence. The experience is difficult to express in words. It is akin to the “peace that passeth understanding”. It is also true that every meditation is not the same. Sometimes meditation is a struggle to control the mind, while at other times it feels effortless.
These are some of the benefits of meditation:1.Improved concentration – A clear mind makes you more productive, especially in creative disciplines like writing.
2.Less bothered by little things – Do you sometimes allow yourself to get upset by little things? It is the nature of the mind to magnify small things into serious problems. Meditation helps us detach. We learn to live in the here and now, rather than worrying about the past or future. We do not worry about meaningless things, but see the bigger picture.
3.Better Health – There have been numerous studies pointing to the health benefits of meditation. The reason is that meditation reduces stress levels and alleviates anxiety. If we can reduce stress, many health benefits follow.
4.Knowledge of Self – Meditation enables us to have a deeper understanding of our inner self. Through meditation we can gain a better understanding of our life’s purpose.
Is Meditation Religious?
The great thing about meditation is that our philosophy/religious belief is not importanct. Meditation is about consciousness. The beliefs of the mind become trivial. We dive deep into the heart of the matter to gain access to our soul – our inner reality. Therefore, mediation can (and is ) practiced by people of different religions or no religion.
But I don’t have time To Meditate
Many people like the idea of meditation, but feel they don’t have enough time. When you really want to do something you can find time. Get up earlier or watch 30 minutes less TV. Meditation requires an investment of time, but clearing the mind makes the the rest of the day more productive. Nothing is better than the feeling of inner peace. What is the point in being tremendously busy but unable to enjoy it? Meditation is not about retreating from the world; it gives us inspiration. Whatever you do, if you have peace of mind, your work will be more enjoyable and productive.
How To Meditate
Like anything worthwhile, meditation requires practice. To get the most from meditation you need to do it every day. This requires a place and time where you will not be disturbed. Check out this cool mindmap pdf for inspiration: meditation.pdf
1.Sit with a straight back. Don’t try to meditate lying down because you are likely to fall asleep. Meditation brings relaxation and peace but at the same time this is a dynamic peace. Meditation is quite different than the relaxation of sleep. When we really meditate, we are fully alert and conscious. Our sense of awareness is heightened. Afterwards you’ll have a positive feeling for the world and a renewed sense of dynamism.
2.Don’t eat before meditating. After a heavy meal your body will be lethargic with digestion.
3.It is not necessary to mediate in the lotus posture. It is fine to meditate in a chair, as long as the back is straight.
4.It is helpful to take a shower before meditating.
5.Burning incense and having a candle are not necessary, but they can add a little extra inspiration.
6.It is good to meditate early in the morning. It is said the best time is 3am, although, I feel it is more important to be awake and not sleepy, I meditate at 6.30am.
One Pointed Concentration
However you learn to meditate, you must learn to concentrate on one thing at a time. Usually, the mind tries to hold several different thoughts and ideas at once. When you sit down to meditate for the first time, you realize how cluttered the mind is. Mediation teachers have described the mind as a “mad monkey”. However, the mind can be tamed and forced to concentrate on a single thought.
One helpful technique is concentrating on a candle flame. Narrow your gaze to the small tip and block out all other thoughts. When you get distracted, go back to focusing on the candle flame. You can also use other objects like a small dot or flower. The important thing is that you concentrate only on one thing at a time.
Mantra
Another way to learn concentration is through the use of mantra. A mantra is the repetition of a sacred word. For example, you might repeat the mantra AUM a certain number of times. Repeating a mantra forces the mind to focus on a single thought.
Silent Mind
After you’ve practiced concentration and learned to focus on one thing at a time, you can proceed to the next stage: no thought at all. Achieving a silent mind is difficult, but when to attain it the experience is powerful. A technique I advise is viewing your thoughts as separate from your self. When a thought appears, make a conscious decision to throw it out of your mind. Over time you realize that you are capable of allowing or rejecting thoughts. Your real “I” is not a collection of thoughts, but something far deeper. This is the most significant realization of meditation – that you do not have to be a slave to your thoughts.
Through meditation, you attain the power to control your thoughts, and on occasion stop them completely. Don’t be discouraged if you can’t attain a silent mind straightaway. It takes time and practice. There is nothing really else to it; meditation is a simple and spontaneous action. Unfortunately, our mind is used to complication and it takes time to unlearn bad habits.

  1. Only use positive words when talking. If you're constantly telling yourself "I can't" you may convince yourself that's the truth. Replace these negative words with positive ones instead. Tell yourself you will do your best or that you will try your hardest instead.
  2. Push out all feelings that aren't positive. Don't let negative thoughts and feelings overwhelm you when you're feeling down. Even if it's only for a few hours a day, push your negativity aside and only focus on the good things in your life.

  6. Believe you will succeed. There is nothing like believing in yourself to create a successful reality. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt and believe that you will succeed at fulfilling your goals.
  7. Analyze what went wrong. Thinking positively doesn't mean denying that there is anything wrong. Instead, give yourself some time to think about the things that led up to your current situation so you can avoid future mistakes and look toward a more positive tomorrow.
  8. Give yourself credit. Often when we feel frustrated or upset we only concentrate on the bad things or the mistakes we've made instead of giving ourselves credit for what we do right.   13. Come up with ideas of how to turn negative thoughts into positive ones. If you find yourself thinking you should have done this or that differently, try changing your thoughts around. Instead give yourself credit for what you did do, remember that you are not perfect or that you can do better next time.
  14. Work on visualization. Picturing what you want to accomplish or the person you'd like to be can be a great motivator to getting you there and helping you feel more positive about the distance you have to go yet.
  15. Think of ways to turn visualization into action. The next natural step of this is to think of just how you're going to get to where you see yourself. Just picturing it isn't going to make it happen, so create a plan to take it one step at a time until you've made it.
  16. Practice self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis brings about a highly conscious state of mind that is willing to follow instructions. This means you'll be more open to positive suggestions that will allow you to be happier and hopefully healthier in your life.
  17. List the reasons you will get what you want. If you are having trouble believing that you'll get that big promotion or that your book will get published try sitting down and coming up with a list of reasons that you will get what you want rather than focusing on the reasons you might not.
At Work
Work can be a stressful place but use these techniques and ideas to keep yourself looking on the bright side.
  1. Be constructive. Giving yourself cruel and unwarranted criticisms will not only put you in a bad mood it surely won't help you improve either. Be constructive in your criticisms of yourself so you can grow and learn.
  2. Visualize a successful outcome. Sometimes it can be helpful to picture yourself completing a project successfully or getting the promotion you desire. This can encourage you and make you feel better about the situation.
  3. Sit up straight. Slouching down in your chair isn't going to make you feel any better about anything that's bothering you. Sit up straight in your chair and see if it improves your thinking.
  4. Surround yourself with positive images. Make your desk your own private happy getaway. Put up pictures of things that make you happy or that remind you of your goals to create a calming and positive environment.
  5. Relax and let things happen. Sometimes the best way to deal with problems is to relax and let them take their course. Things can often appear to be a bigger deal than they really are and reminding yourself of this can help you to relax and not feel so stressed.
  6. See it from another point of view. Change your pattern of thought by trying to see things from another point of view, whether it's your coworkers, your bosses or just someone impartial. It can help you see where you went wrong and understand why others might be upset.

  7. Find someone to share with. Knowing you are not alone can be a healing experience. Share your negative feelings with a friend, a family member or a even a mental health professional. You'll likely feel better after you've gotten things off your chest and had someone to sound off with.
  8. Do something nice. Want to feel better? Try doing something nice for someone you care about. You'll get to feel good for being nice and you just might make someone else's day.
  9. Indulge yourself. One way to remind yourself of the positive things that life has to offer is to indulge yourself in whatever it is you love. Whether it's a box of chocolates, a massage or a new video game, give yourself a break to relax.
  10. Remind yourself of your blessings. Whether you feel blessed by your family, your friends or even that you just have food to eat each day remind yourself of these things, however small you may feel they may be.

  13. Avoid laying blame. So the water bill didn't get paid. You could get mad and start a fight with your spouse or roommate. Or, you could let it go, take it in stride and work together to remedy the situation.

Fun and Relaxation
Don't spend your free time feeling bad about things that have happened. Change your thoughts from the bad to the good with these helpful tips.
  1. Read an inspiring book. If you're having trouble finding something inspiring about your life right now try getting inspired by the life of someone else by reading a book meant to inspire and uplift.
  2. Watch your favorite sappy movie. Get a quick pick me up by watching your favorite movie or just your favorite scenes. You'll get a smile or a laugh and forget whatever was getting you down.
  3. Take a break from the news. The news is often filled with all kinds of depressing information. If you're already in a bad mood take a night off from the news and do something that you find enjoyable instead.
  4. Engage in physical activity. Working out releases chemicals that give you a mood lift. Take a jog, play a sport or just walk around the block to improve your outlook.
  5. Listen to something upbeat. Music can be a great mood enhancer. Whether you're driving in your car or hanging out at home, crank up the tunes with something that makes you feel happy.
  6. Monitor your stream of consciousness.When you're just sitting and thinking do negative thoughts overtake everything else? Monitor where your mind goes when it's at rest and learn to redirect your thoughts towards happier memories.

For an additional bonus, try relaxing each body part in turn as you count so you end up completely relaxed and ready to think logically.
  14. Meditate. The benefits of meditation are many, and one of them can be encouraging positive thinking. By clearing your mind and relaxing you can push out a large amount of negativity that may be troubling you.

  16. Keep yourself on track. It's easy to be weak and get off track to whatever goal you're pursuing because it's easier right now. Don't let weakness get the best of you-- you'll only feel worse later. Provide yourself with reminders to stay in a positive mind set and stay with the program.

If you really want to change your outlook on life, try using these techniques to change how you deal with problems and see the world.
  1. See the beauty in everything. Even if you're in the worst mood, taking the time to look at all the beautiful things that surround you in the world can provide an instant and insightful way to lift your spirits.
  2. Realize that your thoughts do not own you. Stop your negative thoughts in their tracks by realizing that you're in charge of what you think, not the other way around.
  3. Take time to figure out what you really want. When you feel yourself feeling negative about things that you haven't accomplished, take time to think if you really want those things. Finding out what is really important to you can help eliminate bad feelings over things that you don't truly want.
  4. Accept the good things. Sometimes we get so caught up in the bad stuff coming our way that we forget to appreciate the good things. Take a minute to sit down and think of all the positive things that happened in your day, no matter how small.
  5. Get excited about all the possibilities that lay ahead. Even in the midst of the biggest disasters there are a multitude of possibilities that await you to make changes or take on the world tomorrow.
  6. Believe the world is a good place. If you look at the world and only seem doom and gloom laid out in front of you you're not doing yourself any favors. Believe the world is a good place and you're likely to find many more ways good things can come your way.
  7. Stop making excuses. There are always a million excuses for any person not to do something even if that something can make them feel happier. Stop putting up obstacles to your happiness and ditch those lame excuses when you hear yourself making them.
  8. Don't play the victim. Bad things happen to everyone from time to time. Pitying yourself and wanting others to feel sorry for you isn't going to make things better. Pick yourself up and start working towards a happier future.
  9. Don't place your future in someone else's hands. Your future is yours alone to shape. Remember this and take control of where you're going in life.
  10. Create realistic goals. Of course you're going to feel frustrated if you make your goals so unattainable that you can't reach them no matter how hard you work. Create smaller or more realistic goals so you can feel accomplished instead of defeated each day.
  11. Choose joy. Every day when you wake up you make the choice whether to be happy or miserable. Make the choice to be happy and you'll live a much more joyful life.
  12. Believe you can change. Everyone has qualities they don't like about themselves and that sometimes make them feel bad about themselves. Believe you can change these things and you'll start to see little ways that you can.
  13. Start immediately. Want to make a positive change in your life? Do it now. Putting it off just gives you time to make excuses so get started as soon as possible.
  14. Believe you deserve good things. If you don't truly believe that you deserve good things in your life you likely aren't going to encounter many. Believe that you are worthy for good fortune to come your way and it just might.
  15. Stop letting negative thoughts control you. Negativity can be an overwhelming emotion, one that can make you feel out of control and unhappy in every aspect of your life. Put a stopper on these negative thoughts and take control of how you're feeling.
  16. Smile. Sometimes all it takes to feel good is to put a smile on your face. Practice putting on a happy face even when you just feel so-so.
  17. Take control of your decisions. You're the boss of what is going on in your life, even when you feel like you don't have a choice. Take back control of your decisions and make the choice to be happier and more positive.
  18. Change your vibe. Some people think that you get back what you put out, so stop putting out bad energy and change to a more positive outlook. Whether it truly works or not doesn't matter, you'll feel better either way.
  19. Keep the bad out. You're in control of the good and bad you choose to let into your life. When you can, limit the amount of negative things you let into your life, including your thoughts.
  20. Make positive thinking a habit. Don't just practice thinking positively when you're feeling down. Make it an everyday occurrence whether you're in a good mood or bad.
  21. Decide why you want what you want. If you're feeling upset because you feel like you aren't achieving the things you want in life, take a moment to sit back and figure out the reasons you actually want those things. You may find you're not as attached to them as you think.
  22. Look at things with fresh eyes. Sometimes the best thing you can do is to sleep on a problem so you can look at it the next day when you're not feeling so emotional.

Tips for Overcoming Fear

Tip #1: Don’t believe your thoughts
Drop your negative thinking and lack of faith in yourself or it will continue to snowball. Train your mind to create positive expectations. Learn to expect the best.
Tip #2: View life as a creative and wild adventure
Life can be brimming with easy times of beauty and light or overflowing with hard times of dark and difficulty. Choose to stay present through it all. Appreciate the varied landscape and enjoy the ride.
Tip #3: Consider the love of others
Who else in your life is missing out because of your fear of moving forward? Make a list of the people who will benefit from your success. Stay strong for them. Imagine telling them the “good news” in advance – I got the job, I made a difference, I wrote my book, we’re going on vacation!
Tip #4: Let go of the outcome
We often think we know what is best for us. We forget we can’t see the whole picture. Do what is yours to do and do it well. Like blowing a dandelion in the wind, let the rest go and remain open to infinite possibilities.
Tip #5: Be authentic.
In a world where everyone is trying to be someone else, be brave enough to be you. Nobody else has your thumb print, heart print, or soul print. Nobody else can do your part. Revel in your uniqueness. Transparency is magnetic.
Tip #6: Create space for gratitude
Begin your day by filling your mind with appreciation. Focus on the love you have to give and the love you can receive. Become aware of open hearts, open minds, and an unlimited life. This is energy well spent.
Tip #7: Build positive images
Increase your faith and courage by remembering all of your past successes. Take note of your strengths and determination. Apply the same traits to your present dream. Build positive pictures of future success in your mind.
Tip #8: Argue for a positive outcome
Make a list of your fears. Next, prove each fear wrong. If you think you can’t, write down all of the reasons why you actually can. Remind yourself of your written proof when you’re heart is pounding and your palms are sweating.
Tip #9: Be comfortable with the uncomfortable
I don’t know anyone who enjoys being afraid. We want to deny it, run from it, and ignore it. As a professional speaker, I’m nervous for the first several minutes. To get through it, I memorize the first ten minutes of the speech. Learn to get through the things you fear.
Tip #10: Don’t take it personally
What someone else does is about them. How you react is about you. This is perhaps the most difficult step to learn. When your request is ignored or turned down, move on. Rejection isn’t an excuse for failure.
As you face your fears and increase your freedom and happiness by allowing your dreams to become a reality, the good life is inevitable.

Spinach & Artichoke Dip Tortellini Soup

Spinach and Artichoke Dip Tortellini Soup

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes Servings: 4
All of the flavours of spinach and artichoke dip in a soup with cheese tortellini.
 
ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, coarsely chopped
  • 8 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 4 ounces low fat cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 8 ounces spinach, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cayenne to taste (optional)
directions
  1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, add the onion and cook until tender, about 5-7 minute.
  2. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
  3. Add the flour and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the broth, artichokes and tortellini, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the tortellini is tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cheeses, let them melt, add the spinach, let it wilt, add the milk, season with salt, pepper and cayenne to taste and remove from heat.

Option: Omit the tortellini to make the soup more of an appetizer rather than a complete meal.
Option: Replace the tortellini with cooked, shredded chicken and/or white beans. (If you add white beans, pureed half of them and use them as the thickening agent instead of the flout.)
Option: Add sliced sun-dried tomatoes.
Option: Add bacon!

Instructions:

Make dipping sauce by combining dressing, mustard, vinegar, 1 teaspoon minced onion, the garlic, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Set aside.

To make rolls: Combine corned beef, cheese, sauerkraut and remaining 1/4 cup onion and mix well. Place about 2 tablespoons of the mixture in the center of an egg roll wrapper. Roll up as directed on package, sealing edges with a little water.

Deep-fry rolls in 2 to 3 inches of vegetable oil, heated to 325 to 350 degrees, until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes, turning to brown evenly. When done, remove from oil with slotted spoon and drain on paper towel. Serve with dipping sauce.

Makes 12 to 15 rolls. 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10 ounces) mild diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained

    Contouring!

    Contouring and highlighting help sculpt your face to enhance your natural shadows and bone structure. Yet contouring is one of the most frequently left-out steps in makeup applications. That’s because a minefield of the make-up world, contouring is something that can go badly wrong- but it is easily doable for anyone with just a few simple tips.

    Highlighting works with contouring. For example, when you contour your cheeks, you apply contour in the hallow area and highlight the apples. You also highlight the brow bone to open the eye and give depth to the crease area.

     To contour Nose: To slim your nose you would apply the contouring shade on each side of your nose, blending carefully, and the highlighter down the center of your nose.

    To contour Cheekbones: To enhance the cheekbones, suck in your cheeks, apply a darker shade to the hollows and a highlighter to the top of the cheekbones. Then apply blush as normal. Don't over do it!

    To contour Forehead: If you have a wide forehead, apply a light bronzer to each temple and blend. This will create a shadow effect causing the head to look more rounded.

    To contour Chin: For a small, thin chin, apply highlighter to the center of the chin, directly under the center of the lip. To minimize a double chin, apply bronzer  along the jaw line and blend it down, towards your neck. This creates depth and helps to strengthen the jaw line.
    You should always apply contouring color on your neck to your shirt line to avoid a "mask" look.

    To contour Eyes: Used at the back corner of the eye going upward toward the temple.

    To contour Lips: To slim full lips, apply a deep shade of lip color to the entire lip. If you want to plump up thin lips, you can apply a light lip color with shimmer or gloss. Then apply highlighter between the peaks of the upper lip and below the center of the lower lip. This makes thin lips look full and gives a pouty
    appearance.

    Spring Cleaning Checklist!

    I love spring cleaning. It is an opportunity to throw open the windows, let some fresh air in, and make our homes clean, happy spaces.  Don't be scared by the size of this list, many of the jobs are small ones that will go by quickly, and you'll be so glad you took the time to do them!


    FOYER
    1. Dust lighting fixtures.
    2. Wash walls and trim
    3. Wash doors, knobs
    4. Wash bench or other furnishings.  Launder bench cushion, if applicable.
    5. Empty out coat closet.  Wash walls and floor, if needed.  Sort items as you return them to the closet.  Store out of season items, donate unneeded items. 
    6. Clean or replace entry mat.
    7. Sweep and scrub floors.  
    8. Reseal grout lines, if necessary.
    BEDROOMS
    1. Open windows
    2. Dust furniture.
    3. For each drawer: remove items, wash drawer, place items back neatly.  Donate Items you no longer need. 
    4.  Remove everything from closets. Sweep and wash closet floor. Put everything back neatly.  Donate items you no longer need.  Try not to store things on closet floor.
    5. Move Bed.  Sort and put away anything that was under bed.  Sweep or vacuum under bed.  Try not to store things under bed.
    6. Put bed back.  Freshen mattress by sprinkling with baking soda, letting sit briefly, and the vacuuming it up.
    7. Launder bedding and curtains.  Wash pillows and duvet in hot water.  Air out mattress pad, if you have one.
    8. Dust lights. Clean lamp shades.
    9. Wash windows and window sills.  Take out and wash window screens.
    10. Wash switch plates.  Wash walls and trim as needed.
    11. Wash mirrors or dust art.
    12. Wash doors and doorknobs.
    13. Wash floor registers and other vent covers.
    14. Sweep and wash floor or vacuum.


        BATHROOMS
        1. Open windows
        2. Empty all cabinets and vanity.  Wash inside, replace items neatly.  Discard expired medications and cosmetics.
        3. Wash outside of cabinets and vanities
        4. Clean tub. Wax if necessary. Clean drain.
        5. Clean toilet, inside and out.  Remove seat and clean around seat bolts.
        6. Clean sink and drain.
        7. Shine faucets.
        8. Clean mirror and frame .
        9. Dust light fixtures. 
        10. Wash windows and window sills. Take out and wash window screens.
        11. Wash switch plates.  wash walls and trim.  Wash doors and door knobs.
        12. Wash floor registers and other vent covers.
        13.  Sweep and wash floors.  
        14. Reseal grout lines if necessary.
        KITCHEN
        1. Open windows.
        2. Remove and clean window coverings. 
        3. For each cabinet or drawer: Remove items, wipe out drawer, place items back neatly.  Donate unneeded items.
        4. Wash and sanitize cutting boards
        5. Sharpen knives
        6. Wash cabinet doors and knobs
        7. Clean and organize pantry.  Check food expiry dates.
        8. Clean oven.
        9. Clean stove top.  Remove elements and drip bowls, if applicable, wash and put back.
        10. Clean and organize fridge and freezer.  Defrost freezer, if necessary.  Check food expiry dates.
        11. Clean under fridge and stove.
        12. Vacuum refrigerator coils.
        13. Clean microwave.
        14. Clean crumbs out of toaster.
        15. Clean and descale kettle.
        16. Wipe down any other counter appliances
        17. wash counters and back splash.
        18. Wash and shine sink.  Shine faucet. Clean drain.
        19. Clean Dishwasher.
        20. Dust light fixtures.
        21. Wash windows and window sills.  Remove window screens and wash.
        22. Wash switch plates.  
        23. Wash walls and trim as needed.

        15. Wash doors and door knobs
        16. Wash floor registers and other vent covers.
        17. Clean floors.
         LIVING ROOM/ FAMILY ROOM/ PLAYROOM
        1. Open windows.
        2. Vacuum sofas.
        3. Spot clean sofas, if applicable.
        4. Launder throw pillows and blankets.
        5. Dust shelves, furniture and decor.
        6. Clean lamps and lampshades.
        7. Wash windows and window sills.
        8. Take out and wash window screens.
        9. Clean television screen.
        10. Carefully dust electronics.
        11. Tidy electronics wires.  Tuck nicely out of sight.  Label them, if practical.
        12. Sort through music and DVD collections.  Purge things that no longer suit your families interests.  Organize what is left in an attractive manner.
        13. Sort books and magazines.  Donate or recycle ones that no longer suit your families interests.
        14. Wash hard plastic children's toys with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry.  Launder stuffed toys.  Donate or store toys that your children have grown too old for.
        15. Wash switch plates.
        16. Wash walls and trim as needed.
        17. Wash doors and knobs.
        18. Wash floor registers and other vent covers.
        19. Clean floors.

        LAUNDRY ROOM
        1. Open windows.
        2. Wash windows and window sills.
        3. Take out and wash window screens.
        4. Wash cabinet doors.
        5. Wash inside cabinets.
        6. Wash laundry sink.  Shine faucet.  Clean drains.
        7. Wash outside of washer and dryer.
        8. Wash inside of washing machine.
        9. Wash lint trap with soap and water to remove filmy build-up from laundry soaps and dryer sheets. Let air dry thoroughly before putting back in place.
        10. Wash switch plates.
        11. Wash walls and trim.
        12. Wash doors and door knobs.
        13. Wash floor registers and other vent covers.
        14. sweep and wash floors. 
        15. Reseal grout lines, if applicable. 
          STAIRWELLS
        1. sweep/vacuum stairs
        2. Spot clean walls.
        3. Wipe down handrail.
        4. Dust art and light fixtures.
        OUTSIDE
        1. Sweep porches and walkway.
        2. Wash thresholds.
        3. Wash exterior doors.  Give front door a fresh coat of paint, if necessary.
        4. Clean or replace welcome mat.
        5. Wash siding.

        REMEMBER TO:
        • Clean blades of ceiling fans.
        • Sort through and organize family photographs (digitally or into albums).
        • Sort and clean any extra zones such as linen closets, utility closets and office spaces.

        School?

         This is a hot topic right now our schools are dedicated to preparing people to be employees working for the rich, another aspect that I like about school is, and dare to label children ready or fools at an early age. The reason why this issue affects me is because I labeled it silly, from the beginning, and not that it was silly, but I was bored and had no interest, and I could choose any material that interested me, and nobody could tell me how or where I was going to use Calculus???? I kept asking my teacher, how and where will I use Calculus? And simply could not give me an answer. Or they train you to become an employee, or they train you to be “street smart”. Today I prefer to be “street smart”.   I’ve met all kinds of people, some are highly educated, and some have no education. I thought, wow they’re doing pretty well, did not go to school but are packed with real estate, and you began to see a pattern develop, when you see that many people who did not go to college is still very smart, and have created a wealth of their own.
